Purple Flower Macro


I didn't like any of the fireworks shots I took this weekend so I thought I would post this macro instead. It's a shot from the Baytown Nature Center yesterday morning and it reminds me of some of the fireworks I tried to shoot!

Larry, if you had fun taking pictures of either the fireworks or the flowers, I bet they are OK.

This image has a little of an abstract feel to it. I had to look a second time to see which part of the flower was in focus. Since you have already cropped part of the pedals, try some different crops to put the center of the flower in different spots in your frame. Maybe you will like those images also.

The depth of field on the flower itself is interesting and the background is totally blurred out!
