BNC Foggy Morning_1

Since we had lousy weather this weekend I thought I would take a drive through the Baytown Nature Center and see if I could shoot some images I would normally miss. Speaking of misses, the shot that got away was an Osprey flying two feet above a foggy mirror slick bay inlet with a fish in it's talons! Yikes, well you just can't get them all..

This shot was taken from my car window and was converted to B&W in PS3 using the a B&W layer in Maximum White mode.

I definitely think that black and white was the way to go, however, do you think a little more contrast might help bring out the details in the tree?

Thanks Larry. I tried all the different presets but many of the ones that brought out the tree also took away from the water droplets. Maybe the sliders or some other technique would do the job?

Nice close up shot, and the spider web is great! I copied and pasted it into PS and used a levels layer and moved the two sliders on either end in and the middle slider to brighten the mid tones (move left) and it really brightened up...the presets don't work every time. You might try a different crop too, one that gets the spider web out of the center...
