Another fisheye shot from downtown Houston taken early this past Saturday morning.

I have recently become the proud owner of an Olympus Zuiko Digital ED8mmF3.5 Fisheye lens. This Saturday morning my brother and I took a trip to downtown Houston in search of some elusive impact shots and it was my first opportunity to put the lens to a test. Luckily I was not disappointed! The lens is all I had hoped it would be and I believe it really gives me a new tool to enhance my photography.
Another shot of one of the great historic building located on Cade's Cove Loop in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park in Tennessee. This was what I considered my "A" shot for last Tuesday's BAPC "Honors Night" assignment "Monotone". As it turned out my "B" shot, posted yesterday, turned out to be the judges pick!
I took this shot last June while on vacation in Gatlinburg, TN. On this shot my wife and I were sitting on a curbside bench when this young man walked up and assumed this position across from us. He was preoccupied with something else in the area while I swung my camera around and took several shots of him. I shot from the hip so that it would not be obvious what I was doing and I think that decision paid off in his casual demeanor. I entered this shot in last nights BAPC Honors Night program under the assignment of "Monochrome" and was awarded a high Gold that tied for first place and "Photographer of the Month."
