CADES COVE DEER #4

This deer was standing in a grassy meadow off Cade's Cove Loop Rd in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park in early June.

"A WALK IN THE PARK"

This was my second shot entered at the last Bay Area Photo Club Honor's Night under the assignment topic of "Composite."  This composite was created from portions of the stainless "scales" that cover the "EMP Museum" in Seattle and a shot from the Olympic National Forest in Washington.

Street Side Poly

There are several old poly processing facilities in the 5th Ward area north of Lyons Avenue in Houston and one of them staged a mountain of scrap on the side of their building along the road.

Monument Au Fantome - Jean DuBuffet

The modern art sculpture at Discovery Green Park in downtown Houston entitled "Monument Au Fantome by Jean DuBuffet".

Drive Thru Menu

I had this shot of a drive-thru menu from a Dairy Queen on file and decided to work it up as an abstract. Out of the ten layers I used in Photoshop the two that probably had the most impact were an "invert" layer to reverse the colors, and a texture layer [using rusted metal and blending modes] to add the grunge effect. The big question here is: Is capturing an image of a menu at Dairy Queen a sign of some photographic sickness?

Dippin' Dots

This shot is from a trip my brother and I took down to Kemah this weekend. I like the geometric patterns and colors in the scene and thought I would process the shot to exaggerate them. It’s no masterpiece but I like to process one this way occasionally.
