This shot of the Gaillard-Mitchell Family Cemetery was taken on today's BPC field trip. It's a single shot "pseudo" HDR conversion in Photomatix taken with a fish eye lens on my Olympus E-5. The wall around the cemetery is actually square, the perspective distortion is a result of the fish eye optics.

The Bay Area Photo Club of Clear Lake had their Honor's Night program last night and the shooting assignment was "Blue". In spite of the three month window to shoot the assignment I ended up taking this shot the morning of the meeting and printing it an hour before the deadline! One of the judges didn't like the glaring light which was of course my favorite aspect of the shot and something I actually emphasized in post-processing. Oh well, you pay you money and takes your chances!
Saturday the North Houston Tea Party Patriots held a Tea [Taxed Enough Already] Party at the Sam Houston Race Park. Great weather played a role as thousands [no attendance numbers yet but I'm thinking easily over 10,000] came early and stayed late to the hear the speakers talk about conservative issues. Not on the list of featured speakers, this Uncle Sam character was on hand in costume to work the crowd.
