This old shuttered mill in Cleveland Tennessee was built in 1890 and is experiencing a renaissance of sorts. It was purchased by an investor in 1999 and is now being utilized for multiple uses including an event center, apartments and office space.
This architectural shot is from an old building near downtown Houston. I submitted this image tonight under the assignment "Urban Scene" for the Bay Area Photo Club's Honors Night program. Comments from the judges were favorable and I received a Silver Award.
Last weekend the Baytown Historical Preservation Society [http://baytownhistory.org/] added some lively old time music to their last Saturday monthly event. The BHPS has two excellently restored buildings located at the Republic of Texas Plaza Park, 5117 North Main Street in Baytown with a third on the way. They also have new post and beam barn / activity building on the site.
I work in the industrial distribution sector as a salesman for a master distributor of valves and fittings in Houston, TX. I am a member of the Bay Area Photo Club which meets at the Art Alliance Center at Clear Lake in Clear Lake Texas on Tuesday nights. I shoot with an Olympus E-3 and my favorite lens in my Zuiko 12-60.
