I spotted this Red Shouldered Hawk in a tree where I work, on the East side of Houston, yesterday morning. I added the textured background to try and add a little interest.
I work in the industrial distribution sector as a salesman for a master distributor of valves and fittings in Houston, TX. I shoot with an Olympus E-3 and my favorite lens in my Zuiko 12-60.

Nice shot Larry.
I like the overall composition but you might want to consider cloning out the small bits hanging into the photo from the top.
Nice use of texture!
Well done!
Barry
I agree with Barry about the seeds hanging down into the photo. It detracts from the main subject, the hawk.
Nice job on capturing the hawk. You'll turn into a full fledged bird photographer in no time.
This image could have been used in place of the pictures in the paper this morning.
