This was my second entry in Tuesday night's Bay Area Photo Club of Clear Lake's Honor's Night Program. This shot is of the same small creek off West Bay Road in Chambers County, TX I posted two days ago. This effort resulted in a Silver award.
I really liked your idea here, but, I must admit, I found my eye wondering throughout the photo. I wished there was one central point that would anchor my view and let my eye wonder around that anchor. Love the colors and the light.
Thanks Larry, I agree. I have already planned to watch this site for similiar conditions to try the shot again. This time with a tripod, smaller aperture, and some differnt technigues to try and stregthen the creek as the focal point.
I work in the industrial distribution sector as a salesman for a master distributor of valves and fittings in Houston, TX. I am a member of the Bay Area Photo Club which meets at the Art Alliance Center at Clear Lake in Clear Lake Texas on Tuesday nights. I shoot with an Olympus E-3 and my favorite lens in my Zuiko 12-60.
