Larry, this is a nice "slice of life" photo. These small-town, rural or semi-rural festivals give insight into the way of life in the region.
The black-and-white effect adds a lot of drama but seems a little incongruent with the people, who are in color, albeit muted. I'd love to hear about your process that gave such a dramatic sky and rich texture on the building.
This shot was taken back on a BAPC's field trip to the Brenham Texas area in April of this year at the Old Cotton Gin Festival at Burton Texas.
