Another shot of one of the Bald Eagle pair nesting off Tri-Cities Beach Rd. in Chambers County near Baytown, Texas. This shot was taken this weekend with speculation being that the pairs offspring should be hatching soon.
I like the exposure, framing and position of the eagle. One of the more unusual shots I've seen taken of the Baytown eagles.
If you were hand holding this shot it would explain the slight motion blur I see. I believe you shot at 1/250 @ F7.1 at 500mm focal length. In order to get your shutter speed a little higher to 1/500 or even 1/1000 and eliminate that movement, either raise the ISO or I would go ahead and open up your aperture. You just have to be dead on focused at the eye to make the shot.
Nice shot Larry!
ReplyDeleteInteresting and unusual "pose", nice composition and nice separation from the beautiful background.
One of the better "Baytown Eagle" shots I've seen!
Cheers!

Really nice shot. The pose is great. Now how did you get him to get into that pose?
ReplyDeleteGood composition and use of diagonal lines to draw you into the image.
