Great composition! I love the light on the plant although the focus seems to be sharp there and not on the dragonfly. I have tried several times to photograph that insect and they always fly off before I can get a shot!
You picked a very hard subject to photograph. You need to get close, which means your depth of field is next to nothing. Because of the shallow depth of field and small f/stop used, you have to use a slow shutter speed which means wind is a real problem. Other than that, it is a piece of cake.
I work in the industrial distribution sector as a salesman for a master distributor of valves and fittings in Houston, TX. I am a member of the Bay Area Photo Club which meets at the Art Alliance Center at Clear Lake in Clear Lake Texas on Tuesday nights. I shoot with an Olympus E-3 and my favorite lens in my Zuiko 12-60.

Nice capture Larry!
You have to have a good eye to notice anything at Brazos Bend other than gators! :-)
Cheers!
