Battleship Texas 3

This view of some of the aft guns in particular made me think of a couple of things. For one, if I were the enemy [even now in modern times] I would not want to see this ship from any angle! And two, like modern war ships, it's hard to imagine the organized chaos that occurs on warship in a fire-fight. One display at the ship said that the Texas engaged in one fire mission for 50 non-stop 24 hour days delivering over two ship loads of munitions on the enemy in Okinawa!

  1. Nice shot Larry!

I like the POV and the texture you added to the sky!

    Well done!

  2. Steve's class definitely had an impact on you. In fact, you may know become "Mr Texture" instead of Steve.

I agree with Barry, the texture definitely adds to this one. But, the point of view is what really makes this shot.

    Good work.

  3. Thanks Barry and Larry. Your POV comments make me wonder if the shot might have been improved by taking an even lower POV. Moving from a seated position to maybe flat on the deck! Something to keep in mind for next time.

  4. I think you may be on to something Larry A. I'm thinking exaggerating those guns from a lower POV would make them look even more powerful and ominous to an approaching enemy.

Really nice job with the shot.
