My wife and I took a trip over to High Island today and stopped by the old Fort Davis park and took a look around. It was mid day with lots of sun so my expectations were pretty low of shooting anything that I would like. I did get this shot of a set of doors that I liked a lot, along with a shot of a different set I'll post tomorrow.

This was the assignment shot for "Diptych" my twin brother Barry and I entered at last nights BAPC Honors Night. The photo scored the most points on the evening and was generally well received by the three person panel of judges.

My wife was decorating the small kitchen area where she works and wanted to shoot a shot to use that would compliment my the shot in my September 16 post [search "food"] and this was the resulting shot. It always amazes me how long it takes to shoot a still life when you set it up, it isn't moving, and you control all the lighting!
